A liquid level gauge is also known as a level indicator or sight glass. It is a meter used to determine the liquid level in a process tank, vessel, or drum. A glass tube that gives a visual representation of the level of liquid in the vessel is called a level gauge. While simple in design, effective technology is used to indicate process fluid level directly.
There are many applications across the industry that require monitoring of the liquid level, and there are many different types of indicators to fulfil these varying needs. Unfortunately, in many situations, the fluid is dangerous, or the liquid is stored is of such a nature. Therefore, it is manually impossible to find the liquid level.
There are many benefits of using Liquid Level Gauges. For example, peripheral sealing can separate sealing stresses from the process pressure, allowing these gauges to meet higher temperature and pressure requirements than other designs. Other advantages of the liquid level gauges include durability, high temperature and pressure resistance, ease to read from a distance, minimal maintenance, accuracy, and customisation for unique applications.
Due to these benefits, liquid level gauges are equipped for measuring a significant selection of media, including oil, butane, propane, corn syrup, ethanol, alcohol, hydrochloric acid, unleaded kerosene, naphtha-kerosene blend, avgas, and biofuels. Large Oil Level Indicators – Qualitrol 032/042/045 Series and AKM 44712/34725 Series Large Oil Level Indicator. It provides a continuous indication of the liquid level inside a transformer’s main tank, conservator tank, or load tap changer compartment.
Models available with gear-driven or lever-driven float mechanisms. The gear-driven mechanism indicates the movement of an amplified pointer relative to corresponding float travel. Lever-driven gauges offer a slimmer profile for tight spaces within a transformer. Integrated switches allow alarm control functions and limits.
Remote Oil Level Indicators – Hydro-mechanical, capillary-based oil level indicator (liquid level gauge). It provides an accurate indication of the level at the eye level. It is designed for use in even the highest conservator tanks. It also contains integrated microswitches for control and alarm functions and electronic output for SCADA integration.
Small Oil Level Indicators – Qualitrol 035 Small Oil Level Indicator. It provides a continuous indication of the liquid level inside a transformer’s main tank, conservator tank, or load tap changer compartment. Integrated switches allow alarm functions and limits.
Qualitrol 020/030 and AKM 44680 Small Oil Level Indicator. It provides a continuous indication of the liquid level inside a transformer’s main tank, conservator tank, or load tap changer compartment. Lever-driven gauges provide a slimmer profile for tight spaces within a transformer.
